About us
Quality, expertise, commitment: that is Inplanted
Since 2021, we have been dedicated to growing, Importing, and supplying premium tropical foliage plants, as well as creating vibrant green interiors for homes and indoor spaces. Our expertise also extends to the professional care of houseplants and orchids. From day one, we have placed a strong emphasis on professionalism, quality, continuous development, and innovation. We believe that every plant deserves the right care, and every customer deserves the confidence to provide it. That is why we are committed to sharing our expertise, practical guidance, and ongoing support, helping our customers care for their plants with confidence and ensuring they thrive for years to come.

At the heart of our business is plant cultivation—a craft that is far more than just a profession to us; it is our passion. Caring for plants is an integral part of our everyday lives, and we take great pride in growing them with dedication and expertise. Unlike businesses that simply buy and sell plants, we are growers first and foremost. Plant cultivation is at the core of what we do, and we nurture our own plants with genuine passion and expertise in our tropical-climate greenhouses. Alongside our own cultivated plants, we also carefully select and source additional varieties to offer an even broader selection. While we primarily serve individual plant enthusiasts, we are also pleased to offer competitive wholesale pricing and tailored solutions for retailers and resellers.
2 week old cuttings in 6 cm growpots, in our newest greenhouse:

As growers, we carry a great responsibility when it comes to preserving the characteristics and quality of each variety. For this reason, we apply strict selection criteria to every cutting. Plants that significantly deviate from the expected varietal traits or show weaker growth are removed, reassigned, or separated, ensuring that only strong and impressive plants reach our customers.
For example here you can see some hand picked Epipremnum pinnatum 'Marble Variegata' cutting in 6 cm growpots:

The foundation of our strong and consistently growing plants lies in our propagation process. We propagate our plants through cuttings, which are carefully selected and collected by hand, disinfected, and treated with rooting hormone before planting. The cuttings are then placed into our specially prepared, well-aerated growing medium and arranged on our cultivation benches. This marks the beginning of a growing process that can take weeks or even months, requiring constant attention, care, and expertise to ensure healthy and vigorous development.
As biological pest-control, we use predatory mites and ladybug larvae:

Freshly picked Hoya sigillatis 'AH-001' cutting:

Scindapsus treubii 'Dark Form' cuttings. Growing Scindapsus cuttings for example takes significantly more time and energy, due to their slow rooting, and later growth:

The appearance of the first leaves always brings us much joy:

Pure growing soil:

The strength of our own cultivated plants comes not only from professional, hormone-free care, but also from the fact that our cuttings are taken from our own carefully maintained mother plants. These mother plants are grown and nurtured by us in a separate greenhouse, ensuring a reliable foundation for healthy and vigorous new growth.
Some are kept in raised bed while the rest are in growpots:

Due to most of our plants being tropical vines, we keep them on moss poles. Thanks to this they produce larger and more stunning leaves than they otherwise could:

Some plants (due to the moss pole) showcase heterofillia beautifully, just like this Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue':

As a grower it is important to heed both written and unwritten rules, like finished 'products' should look relatively identical or that in the growpot each plantlet should be in the same level of development. These rules are fulfilled with these Syngonium podophyllum, 'Confetti':

A plant enthusiasts we immadiatly realise rare or interesting mutations, which collectors grab on to immadiatly . This Rhaphidophora tetrasperma 'Tricolor' plant found itself in our collection the exact same way:

To meet customer needs, we offer our own-grown plants in various formats. The most common sizes are 6, 8, 10, and 14 cm pots, as well as 16 cm pots with a coconut coir support pole:

A significant part of the world’s potted ornamental plants and cut flowers are supplied by the Netherlands, and more specifically by Dutch growers. Inplanted has a partnership with one of the largest and most trusted Dutch wholesale suppliers, allowing us to ensure that our imported plants consistently represent the highest quality. Through this partnership, growers select and send us their finest plants, giving us access to exceptional specimens from leading producers.
Installation at a Dutch wholesale:

In most cases, we order imported plants online; however, several times a year we travel to the Netherlands so that we can personally select the most beautiful and newest plants for you, including unique varieties on occasion:

Why did we mention ‘the newest varieties’ above? The reason is that not every product is listed on the wholesaler’s website (for various reasons). By visiting in person, we can choose from a much wider selection and purchase the latest and most exclusive plants available:

Plants selected personally by us at the Dutch wholesaler. A minimum order quantity of 1 tray per variety applies:

The plants arrive from the Netherlands by truck, usually within 2–3 days, packed in trays, placed on specially designed CC carts, and wrapped in protective foil:

Plants arrived safely from the Netherlands (2025. november):

Our visits to the Netherlands are not limited to sourcing plants. We regularly attend exhibitions and visit botanical gardens to strengthen our international relationships, expand our knowledge, and gain a deeper understanding of the world of plants.
For three years now, we have been visiting the Trade Fair every year, which is one of the largest plant and flower exhibitions in the world:

Green wall on the Trade Fair (2023.):

These occasions give us the opportunity to meet and consult with other growers, and even establish potential partnerships, as they are difficult to reach during most of the year. This is why we always arrive well-prepared, with a long list of specific questions and requests:

As dedicated plant lovers, we always make time to visit local garden centres in the Netherlands as well. Tuincentrum Oosdorp:

Our selection also includes high-quality pre-mixed and natural growing media, as well as useful accessories and essential plant-care supplies.
Thanks to the many positive reviews from our customers, more and more plant enthusiasts are choosing our Inplanted Mix growing medium. Today, we can proudly say that our natural and blended growing media have become a trusted choice among houseplant collectors in Hungary. This success is no coincidence—the foundation of successful plant care begins with using the right growing medium.
Our ready-to-use mixes are carefully formulated and can be used straight away, with no need to add any further ingredients.

After careful sorting and sieving, the components are dried in a dedicated greenhouse to ensure long-term storage:

We personally prepare and hand-package all of our mixed and natural growing media ourselves:

The exceptional quality of our plants is the result of two key factors: the carefully controlled climate in our greenhouses and the knowledge and dedication of our growers. Maintaining the ideal tropical conditions all year round requires continuous attention, significant effort, and considerable investment, particularly in a climate that differs greatly from their natural growing environment.

Through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok), we share insights into our work, our plants, and the everyday life of our nursery, giving our customers the opportunity to get to know us and our passion more closely.
Our content often shows the world of plants and their care from a fresh perspective, while always staying authentic and honest.

We make an effort to visit as many botanical gardens as possible and establish meaningful connections with the people who care for them. For example, we regularly exchange knowledge, experience, and plants with the team at the ELTE Botanical Garden in Budapest, allowing us to learn from each other and further expand our understanding of the plant world:
